Navy's Blue Angels to transition to unmanned flight

In a surprise announcement today, the US Navy announced that the Blue Angels will transition from their current F-18 Hornets to unmanned F-47 aircraft for their 2018 airshow season. The team will still fly a full ‘delta’ aerobatic routine, including tight formations, using six of the cutting edge drones. The only difference is that the pilots will never leave the ground and will instead monitor the pre-programmed flight routines from special trailers set up at each show site

Would NASCAR be as exciting as it is, if instead of a human driver sitting in the seat of the car, it was merely a simian passenger, riding in a remotely controlled car, or, in a bow to PETA, the monkeys are removed along with the seats, and the cars transitioned into two-directionally moveable remote controlled cars? No, I say, for just like the Romans observing the Christians doing battle with the lions in the Coloseium, we need there to be flesh and blood consequences to tactical mistakes by the participants.

NASCAR is exciting? I've tried watching it but after the first few left turns I lose interest. Now throw in a few right turns and it might get exciting.
