I had on my Marine hat yesterday when I went to Luby's Cafeteria in Katy and the Checker said that Veteran's now get a 10% discount off the entire bill. It is a new policy.
Also, Texas Road House gives a 30% discount to Veteran's ALL the time.

It apparently varies by location. I have seen anywhere from 10% - 30% listed.

Texas roadhouse in Lake Jackson has a nice discount, been a bit since I've been there but I think it's around 30

Visited TRH in Denton last night, 10% discount for vets.

Will have to check out the one in Killeen. If it is 30% then they will go broke based on the fact that probably 90% of their clientele are from Fort Hood or retirees/vets living in the area. 10% I would believe as those are the standard discounts at Lowes and Home Depot for vets.
