I was honored to serve in the 1st Cavalry Division from 1973-1978. LTG Moore set the standard and led the way.

For those of you who are looking for a good read, his book "We were soldiers once ..." is excellent.

General Hal Moore was a great American and an incredible leader. The nation is all the poorer for his passing.

Just saw this. An outstanding person and soldier and true Hero. Read his book years ago...excellent read. Rest in Peace
