Wow. This truly HAS to be a new low point in political campaign advertising.

I honestly am not simply trying to stir the pot with this post. And I certainly am NOT someone who is easily "offended." But I am definitely offended by this so-called "advertising."

I think this kind of offensive material needs to be dragged out into the light of day, and ALL civil people, of whatever background, race or political party, need to be unified with one voice to let the sponsors of this kind of "campaigning" know that this is absolutely not acceptable to ANY decent person.

And to get it a little closer to home, note the license plate on the front of the pickup in the video.

The new opposition ad titled “American Nightmare” was released Monday by Democratic group Latino Victory Fund (LVF) and is scheduled to run through Election Day. The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker and a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

This morning I saw a democratic strategist defend the ad on Fox news.

This ad is racist. Pure and simple. Would the dems be just as OK with an ad showing illegal immigrants chasing after and raping women? I'm guessing not.

Don't you remember the good old days when the dems proudly proclaimed "when they go low, we go high". They didn't mean it, of course, but they at least had the decency to pretend that they had some morals way back then (circa 2016).
