Their stuff is way too expensive, I have to admit I did by some assault dove scent to put on a assault decoy for my assault birddogs to retrieve, but that won't happen again!

I'm going to be compassionate and caring on this one.

If I walked into a Dick's store they might be tempted to sell me something very, very dangerous. Now that they've made a pledge to stop doing that, I'm going to support them.

I'll remove the temptation. All I have to do is stay away from their stores.

Ooh, a Cabela's, and they welcome both open and concealed carry...

I went into a Dick's once to look for a rifle they had advertised. No rifle and a counter kid that was as helpful and pleasent as he could be. However, he knew nothing about firearms.

Best way to vote is with your bank account. Do not give them your money. Buy from companies that don't disrespect you.

They did this in the past too. Next perhaps is to post 30.06/07 and no firearm signs. You really have to wonder what their business model is.

OMG! This is as bad as Circle K not selling wine.

Field and Stream is over priced too - they opened one near me about 2 years ago. Be interesting to see how long it takes them to go out of business.

I'm sick and tired of a semi automatic AR 15 being labeled an " assault" rifle.

I don’t shop at Dicks much so no loss for me.

I have been out of the sporting goods business for many, many years. Firearms sales were not the leader in sales dollars. Athletics, sports, fishing, camping, etc made up the majority of our sales. Profits on firearms and ammunition were slim also. We didn't have the myriad clothing and shoe lines most sporting goods concerns carry nowadays. I can look at an Academy store or a Dick's and tell you almost to a certainty guns and ammo are not the big profit departments.

The last time I darkened the doors of a Dick's was in Salt Lake City where I purchased two bricks oh CCI Standard Velocity .22 for my beloved CZ 452's. IIRC I paid $30 for each brick. Does that give any clue as to how long ago that was?

Yep, overpriced on EVERYTHING. Haven't bought anything at Dick's since about 2012. They used to have some pretty good sales on ammo, but not in the last 5-6 years. Academy, LGS, bass Pro are my places.
