RIP, Gunny. We loved having you with us on this goofy ball.

Oh no. I met him once at a firearm show and he seemed just he did on Gunny Time. Wasn't he also a spokesman for the NRA? Or maybe he was a board member? Rest in peace, sergeant.

I got to meet him once at our Marine Corps ball. We talked about competition shooting, then he gave his famous speech from Full Metal Jacket to the battalion. Gonna miss that man - he was one of the greats.

The only man who actually gave Chuck Norris a shiver in his spine was Gunnery Sergeant Hartman.

RIP to one of the great ones. You shall be missed.

There is a quote made famous in Full Metal Jacket. It's actually the Riflemen's Creed. "This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine."

There are many Gunny's, but this one was OURS. And, we will honor his memory with hope and kindness. Please support your men and women in uniform. That's what he wanted most of all.

Semper Fi, Gunny. Godspeed.
From his manager Bill Rogin.

Y’all do know this is another one of those celebrity death hoaxes, right? Just google his name and append “snopes”, “hoax” or “false” to it.
