I have a horse in this race.

A friend named Dixie.

Songs that I like that have the word Dixie in them.

It's more living proof, that if you give 'em an inch they'll take a mile.

Founding member of Dixie Chicks Laura Lynch dies from a head on crash caused by another driver in West Texas.

Sounds like she was not involved in the mess the other three caused later after she left the group. I think they may have even dropped Dixie from their groups name.

RIP.

The left will declare anything that you like to be racist.
It is what they do.
We will ignore them.
It is what we do.

They dropped Dixie from the name after the country music fans (and half the industry) condemned them for their public criticism of our country and president while in London.

But chemist45 is right about the left condemning everything. They are after UT again because the song "The Eyes of Texas" is supposedly racist. They can't say anything about the song itself, but it is racist because it was first performed at a minstrel show, which commonly had white guys in blackface.

I learned the Christmas song “Jingle Bells” was written by a former Confederate soldier.

Wonder how long before this comes under attack?
