Custom Built 6.5 Creedmoor

#1

Post by Carry-a-Kimber »

Derrick at Horizon Firearms just finished my 6.5 Creedmoor and from what I see I think I will be one happy customer. Trued Remington 700 action, Timney trigger, Badger bolt handle, Benchmark 16.25" barrel with M24 contour and straight flutes cerakoted ACU green, HS Precision M24 stock, Warne base and Burris XTR rings.
Can't wait to get my paws on it.

When's he going to finish the rest of the barrel? ;-)

Yes, I'm kidding. While I like long, heavy barrels for long range, I've had a lot of good shooting out of my 18.5" .308 Remington 788. Even when the high power club made me shoot just a little further forward on the line than everyone else ...
The sooner I get behind, the more time I have to catch up.

First 3 rounds down range at 100 yards, factory 120 grain A-max, 2710 fps. Not too shabby.
