Ar stock trigger job.

I watched a video on youtube of a guy doing a trigger job to a factory trigger. It looked like fun since I love to work on my guns, So I tested my trigger and of course it had that gritty feel, so I took it apart and polished up the parts and it feels smooth now. it took about an hour to do it, using 1500 grit sand paper and a dremel tool and jeweler's rouge polished to a mirror finish. One of these days I am going to do my own video's

I haven't looked at the video, but be aware that trigger parts have a very, very hard coating that is very, very thin on all the surfaces. If you break through that coating, you will need to replace the trigger components a lot sooner than would otherwise be the case. The best solution in the long run and for reliability is either a so-called "National Match" trigger, one of the yellow trigger springs, or one of the excellent aftermarket trigger assemblies, like the Gisselle. The Gisselle SSA trigger must be felt to be believed!

This would be my recommendation for a rifle that might be used for defense now or in the future. For range only your procedure is okay.

I am unemployed at this moment in time so a new trigger is out right now. But on the bright side I got 2 job offers this week Just waiting to see which is going to pay more, then a new trigger and BCG I am going with a nickle boron BCG this time and I think CMC or the Gessile (not sure how to spell it)
CMC is made in Fort Worth.
Yes it's a range only rifle I have my 1911's for the house.

I just put Geisseles in all my rifles. Expensive but worth it.

As have I. Believe my next purchase is going to be a ALG ACT trigger. I'm not quite ready to break triple digits on a trigger - yet.

Well took it to the range just got home and the trigger worked great. Nice and smooth pull shot really well to. Fine tuned the scope to, hitting the bull

But everything i heard, they are good triggers. Buying an ALG is buying a budget Geissele. My brother in law loves them. Never know, I have played an Epiphone that sounded much better than the Gibson, so why not have the same thing on triggers?

I own both Geissele and CMC. I like CMC best. 1) Just as nice and less $, 2) Patriotic, 3) Texas business
