Hardened Arms Upper review

#1

Post by Weg »

I recently purchased one of these in .300 Blackout to set up a cheap suppressed AR. I did not expect much as I paid less than $500.00 for the complete upper. It turns out I get 1" groups at 100 yards with Barnes Vortex 110 ammo, and 2" groups with Gemtec 187 grain subsonic, and it has yet to jam once. For a 16" setup under $500.00, i'm very impressed.

After a few months of shooting this gun, I have had to start hand loading to get ammo that is subsonic. All the factory subsonic loads I was buying were running so fast that I was getting the sonic crack. I ended up coming up with a 220 grain load that chronographs at 950. It shoots good and is very quite with my Gemtech HVT.
