Wow!! Henry Rifles.

Post by Jusme »

I have been around the sun a few more times than I like to admit, as a result I have done business with several companies. I have received good customer service, bad customer service and so so customer service. On the rare occasion, when I receive above and beyond exceptional customer service, I like to make sure to pass the info along.

As some of you may know from some of my other posts, my son is about to earn his Eagle Scout rank. I had promised him a couple of years ago that if he did, I would buy him a Henry Eagle Scout edition 22 rifle. Since his Board of Review is next week, I began trying to find one. No luck, not available through any gun dealers that I contacted, none on-line etc..

I sent an e-mail to Anthony Imperato, owner of Henry rifles asking if he could provide any contact information for anyone who may have one in stock. I really didn't expect much more than maybe an address or phone number for someone to contact, and I didn't expect to hear anything for a while.

In exactly 5 minutes, I got and e-mail from "Tony" asking what my zip code was, and I sent him the info. Within ten minutes he sent me an e-mail saying he had spoken to a gun dealer within 10 miles of my home, and they he would be calling me. In approximately 20 minutes I received a call from the gun dealer who was also somewhat surprised, but he said that Henry would drop ship the rifle directly to him and I just needed to come fill out the paperwork, pay a down payment, etc..

After work I went to the gun store, paid the down payment, and my son's rifle is being shipped, expected to be here on Monday.

I had seen the commercials for Henry Rifles and heard good stories regarding their customer service, but when the owner personally takes care of customers in this way, he will have my business, from now on.

Here is a link to the rifle my son will receive at his Eagle ceremony.

If anyone is looking for a lever action rifle, or any of the other guns Henry makes, I would highly encourage you to give them a try. I have never experienced such great response from a company.

Yes, they are great rifles. I have a Golden Boy in .44mag my wife got me for an anniversary. Otherwise, I've never dealt directly with the company, although I've heard they were like this.

Also, congratulations to you and your Eagle Scout!

Congratulations to you and your son!
I expect that rifle will become a family heirloom and be handed down for many generations. :cheers2:

Congrats to your son and your family it is good to hear, I'm sure he will enjoy it a lot.As for henry mcustomer service I also was and am impressed with them I've always wanted a 22mag rifle so last summer wife purchased me one at bass pro. I wanted scope on it and found Nikon 22 scope then tried different rings contact Henry and they conferenced me in with midway customer support and high rings were on the way that evening and installed by the weekend. I neglected to get the ladies name who helped me but you are right outstanding service above and beyond the call. Now want to get fiber sights that they sell and install just cause they look cool. Maybe a picture of him with his new rifle so we can see that big grin?

Yeah that's the plan (I'm also gonna send one to Henry Rifle)

Still haven't finalized details on his ceremony yet, but I'll keep everyone updated.
Thanks for all the good wishes, this is all his achievement, but it's been a fun journey to follow along with, he started when he was 6 as a Tiger Cub.

Just a quick update, I got the rifle it took one more day than originally posted, but it looks even better in person that it does in the pictures. My son passed his Eagle Board of Review and we are just awaiting the final paperwork from BSA with his certificate etc.. I haven't let him know that I got the rifle, I have just been talking about how hard they are to find, no one has them in stock, they only make a limited number of them per year, hope we can find one in time for your ceremony etc..( I know I'm a terrible Dad)

Anyway, once all of the paperwork is secured we will plan his ceremony. I'll post pictures along with a more detailed synopsis of his Eagle trail. :tiphat:
