Cleburne 6.5 creedmoor
Cleburne 6.5 creedmoor
My sister is looking into a rifle. She was thinking 6.5 creedmoor but was wanting to try a few rounds first to compare to a 308 (what her husband and I both have). Don’t suppose anyone out in that area that could help?

Re: Cleburne 6.5 creedmoor
I have both in AR style (gas guns) configs. 6.5 has better external ballistics (due to better bullet ballistic coefficient) and less felt recoil.
Both perform equally well in my experience out to 800 yards (.308 requiring more come ups obviously) and after 800 yards the Creedmoor will be far more predictable.
What is it that she is trying to do with it? If you have a range with decent long range yardage I would be hapy to join you and let you demo.

It’s going to be short range most likely. So I’ve already talked to her about drift and drop difference being negligible for her (300 and in). Be mainly punching paper, but occasional deer or hog shot. Range is out on her stepfather’s land max is probably 280 yards.
