Looking for opinion on this rifle.

Will be a bench shooting only application

Have an older FLCP-K and wanting to add a nice compliment rifle to this one.

Have plenty of all in need custom 10/22's and want to add a nice .223 bolt to the group.

Have a Weaver scope that will be mounted on it.

If I want to upgrade later is this a good option? If not what are some options?

I don't have any direct experience with this rifle, but my son has a Savage chambered in 270, with the accu-trigger. I do like the trigger, but I'm still partial to my Ruger American, with the same type trigger. Mine is in 308, and is a tack driver. Ruger also makes the American Ranch in 223, as well as 7.62X39, and 300 blackout. It's a short barrel version, that I have considered for a truck gun. If you will just be using it for target practice, I don't see why the Savage would be a bad choice. They are budget friendly, and from all reports, I've seen, the quality, is better than some more expensive. JMHO

If its a bench gun and you can spend a little more for any of the Savage model 12's, they won't let you down for a $6-700 rifle. Again that's used pricing. I have a .204 and my brother a .22-250 and they are sub MOA without trying.
