This is not a victory for us. They shout her down because she isn't leftist or progressive enough.
Think about it. She isn't leftist enough. Hard to imagine what kind of replacement they would vote in as a replacement.

Based on the article, the replacement may be Kevin de Leon, aka Mr. 30-caliber-magazine-clip-in-half-a-second... I'm not looking forward to it.

Whoever they replace her with will be a relative newcomer without as much political horsepower as she has.

A couple of decades late and who knows what garbage they will come up with next. If only San Andreas would break them off and as they float away they'd capsize like our genius Georgia friend expects of Guam.

Considering who her replacement is likely to be, she might actually end up being missed. The new crop of Democrats coming up in California are downright terrifying.
