Pistol braces? Nothing has changed. The EO is directing ATF to define the rules better as to what constitutes a brace which they believe circumvents the NFA SBR requirement. They will make something up similar to what they proposed in December and asked for comments on.

I enjoyed his interview. He sounded experienced, reasonable, and relatable. Much better speaker than many of the willful/accidental idiots I usually hear arguing for gun control.

I strongly disagree with him, but I can respect him.

Who is David Chipman? Biden’s gun czar nominee defended Waco, spent decade in anti-gun activism
Chipman made a false claim about an event during the infamous 1993 siege and massacre in Waco, Texas – which left 82 members of a religious commune dead.

He said that “cult members” at Waco “used 2 .50 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters.” A congressional report on the siege released in 1996, however, said that while shots had been fired at three helicopters that flew over the Mt. Carmel compound, none were “shot down” – and no ATF agents or National Guard crew members on board were injured, either.

I have no respect. He assumes their is one attacker. What about a 3 or 4 person home invasion?

I have no respect for anyone who would propose to violate the US Constitution. In many cases, I will agree that the Constitution is vague enough to allow for proposals I disagree with.

But I have yet to meet an anti-gun activist who can answer this one question satisfactorily:

Regardless of how I feel about your proposal working to stop crime or make anyone safer, the US Constitution says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Webster's dictionary defines infringe as to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another. It also lists as an obsolete definition that it meant to frustrate or defeat. Since I do not like to use the word or phrase I am defining in the definition, we can take either of the obsolete definitions. Can you explain how your proposal is not an attempt to frustrate or defeat the rights of a citizen to keep and bear arms?

The most common answer is that no right is absolute, which I agree and disagree with and can show them why this right is as absolute as it gets. I also get that something like registration is not an infringement because it isn't stopping them from doing it. That is also easily answered as yes, it is because it stops him from his right if he does not register.

If they were honest, all it takes is to admit they want to change the Constitution. Short of that, they are all liars trying to control people.

Agree. 1/3 of defensive encounters involve multiple attackers with groups up to 10. John Correia's extensive research shows that defensive encounters involve zero to 20 shots fired. That's as many as 2 full 10 round magazines.

The rioting last year showed that every honest American needs a AR-15 with high capacity magazines... because simply put they work, and the defunded authorities won't act when you need them most.
