Obama backs new Arms Trade Treaty

Post by OldCannon »

If you can't beat the second amendment, subjugate yourself to the UN and use THAT to disarm Americans.

Welcome to the "Subterfuge Presidency". He didn't waste any time on that one, did he?

In a separate thread, Valerie Jarrett is quoted as saying that they intended to punish those who opposed them.

This is the first step in punishing the NRA and its members. New SCOTUS appointees will finish that job for them.

That line was crossed 4 years ago. The America we knew is gone.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)

Does the President have the authority on his own to commit us to a treaty?

Only the US Senate can ratify international treaties. And that has to be done with a 2/3 majority.

Obama disagrees with you.

And he has proved it with the Kyoto Treaty. It was not signed by the US and was never ratified by the Senate. It is being implemented by executive fiat through the EPA.

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

When you already ignore the constitution what difference does it make? He will snap his fingers and his orks will obey.

He did it with MaoBama Care.
He did it with a stop to arresting/deporting illegals.
He did it with illegally sending guns to Mexico.

He does whatever he wants and no one calls him out on it. That is the problem!
