Instead of the "Senator's Wife" he should call the movie "Cognitive Dissonance," since he apparently simultaneously believes that movies don't influence audiences and that he's going to make a movie that influences audiences.

Sadly, I'm afraid people will see it, and they will believe whatever lies he chooses to put in there.

Dadgummit! I am running out of actors, producers, and directors to watch!

Here is an article in Variety about awards panels shunning conservative leaning documentaries:

http://variety.com/2014/film/spotlight/ ... 201061557/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ever since 1920 and maybe before, motion pictures have captivated the imagination and are one of our most beloved forms of entertainment and escapism. Being that the entertainment business represents a good business model when properly executed, I hope for the day when an alternative film industry rises to take on the sewage flowing from Hollywood. It can have it's own backers, its own Hollywood (like Mumbai for Bollywood), its own producers, directors, actors, guild, etc. It would focus on real entertainment without the gore, porn, and virulent agenda pushing emanating from the current movie capital. Shoot, maybe even some of the few good eggs that currently work for the enemy can cross over and help pioneer the business. One day...if only.

I watched (again) Pulp Fiction last night, which was produced by Weinstein, and it had more guns than our local Cabela's.

Don't get excited about this stuff folks. Hollywood is only interested in making money. If what they do ruins America (there is a case to be made for that of course) then blame it on Capitalism and freedom-of-speech-gone-wild.

I don't know how I could possibly have raised responsible children in the environment of the last 20 years or so...

Movies are just another form of propaganda that the left uses to manipulate the weak minded and the disinterested. Propaganda is incremental in its effect. I doubt that Weinstein really thinks that he can destroy the NRA with one movie, but he knows that it will have an impact on some. Boycott him if you want to, I will, but if you really want to fight the liberal propaganda machine, take a kid hunting, take a kid to the range, get a kid into competitive shooting. Get a kid to love the RKBA the way you do and they will ignore the propaganda and carry on the fight. And they will influence their friends.

When anyone tells you, "...it's not about the money...", you can bet your bottom dollar it's all about the money.

Yeah keep them the heck away from movies, TV, and video games. That so many kids have been raised these days by sticking a DVD in a player and walking away is appalling to me.

Oh, and in Hollywood it's not Hypocrisy...it's Art! :evil2:

The NRA is an organization with massive popular support.....somehow I don't think they are quivering in their boots.
He has a highly inflated opinion on how much power he has doesn't he? I believe Meryl Streep's career has "jumped the shark". Soon she will take any work she can get. It wouldn't surprise me to see her doing commercials soon.

Speaking about Hanoi Jane. Here's an interesting tidbit:

Dalian Wanda acquired the United States-based cinema operator AMC Theatres in May 2012 for about USD $2.6 billion.
The company website said that its existing Wanda Cinema Line was “Asia’s largest” cinema operator and following the merger it is the world’s largest cinema operator.
The acquisition went through successfully in September 2012.

Same here, except without the :evil2:, because I have no idea who Harvey Weinstein is. I've heard of Meryl Streep, but I don't know why she's famous.

None of Harvey's previous supposedly famous efforts ever convinced me to part with any of my hard earned cash, so I think I'm pretty safe in figuring that won't change with any of his future projects.
