My wife and I both got our CHLs in 2013. We are both carrying right now. She likes her Ruger LCR .38 because the pistol and 2 speed loaders are easy to carry in her purse. She especially likes the Crimson Trace laser. However, the lightweight Ruber's recoil makes it uncomfortable for her to shoot regularly. We are looking at various compact 9mm pistols as a replacement.

My wife moved from that same gun to a Springfield XDs 9 mm. Smaller size is easy to conceal but shoots like a bigger gun. Just one of many to consider. Much less snappy than the LCR.
