I'm sure this isnt an original idea. But what if 'we' spoke to the gun manufacturers and had them help sponsor some memberships? It helps them just as much as it helps us...so its certainly a benefit to all. Plus they can write it off.

Perhaps some of us know gun store owners or other outlets as well.

(shrug)

I'm just throwing ideas out there...they might be silly but I tried.

I've posted this on the Facebook and MySpace sites I have for TexasCHLforum, as well as the TexasCHLforum Group on Facebook. I have no idea if this will generate any response and it certainly won't be limited to Texas, but it's worth a try.

Thanks, the more links on websites and signature lines, the faster the program will grow. No one has said anything, but I know a lot of people don't think we can get to 1,000,000 members in Texas. Yeah, well Santa Anna didn't think the Alamo could hold for 13 days either.

I've been meaning to join the NRA since buying another pistol on 11/5/08.
Since I recently spent $10K+ in Cape Town SA via identity theft, I will now join NRA via the card that came with pistol. Don't want to give out CC numbers online.
I hope my membership still counts towards the Project.

I had four people this weekend at the TSRA Annual Meetings tell me they were going to join. They seemed sincere and I hope they do.

I have 9 for NRA and 2 for TSRA. (Even got one in California)

That is so far, I am still working.

I also upgraded to NRA Life myself and will upgrade to TSRA Life next pay period.

I recently upgraded to a Life membership with the NRA and joined TSRA at the annual meeting. I have a friend that has joined the NRA and a few more that I'm working on.
