Timeline for Application process

#1

Post by roboto65 »

Hi new to the forum hope this is the right place did a search but found nothing.

I am a Tugboat Captain and time home is short but I have done my CHL class and have to go online and fill out the application I have internet on the boat so no problem there.
My question is I only have one week off and it maybe a month before I hit the ground and was wondering. When I fill out the online application pay my fee and hit enter how long do I have to get finger prints done?

The CHL class completion form is good for 2 years, but the online application is only good for 1 year.

So, you have 1 year from the date you completed the application (meaning you paid the money to DPS) to complete the process and get all remaining documents to DPS, including fingerprints.
