Yeah, MSM did show the check to Park Service but also noted that the President's budget cuts $1.5B from the Dept of the Interior. MSM just can't be complimentary. MSM also makes a big deal out of the cost of maintaining a NY residence and the President's frequent trips to Mar-a-;ago. picky, picky :banghead:

But Obama could go on golfing trips twice a month and that was OK.

Healthcare bill revival?
https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/arti ... -care-bill
The White House prodded House Republican leaders to make last-minute tweaks to their Obamacare replacement bill Thursday aimed at protecting high-cost patients before lawmakers leave Washington for their two-week spring break.

The changes would create a subsidy for insurers that cover sick, expensive patients, and could help revive Republican lawmaking efforts to repeal and replace large parts of the Affordable Care Act. They also echo a key program under Obamacare, which like the GOP proposal uses subsidies to lower premiums.
...
The effort by the Rules Committee to rush to adopt an amendment to a bill -- without much time for anyone to read it or any immediate intent to take the measure to the House floor -- is highly unusual. But it reflects the strong desire by the White House to demonstrate that the effort to repeal Obamacare isn’t dead.
...
Republicans are weighing other changes to their health legislation as well, including a waiver for states that would let them out of federal requirements on what benefits insurers have to cover. That would likely lower premiums but also decrease consumer protections. They’ve also discussed eliminating what are known as community rating rules, which prevent insurers from varying premiums within a geographic area based on certain factors, including health status.

And none of this addresses the cost of care.

All this is just as effective as repairing or replacing the driveshaft of your car instead of rebuilding the engine that doesn't run.

Don't forget, we will the next time the shoe is on the other foot as well. I don't really think this is a good thing, and its a situation that was forced by both parties on all accounts.

But yes, we'll get Gorsuch on the bench.

Get ready for the filibuster on legislation to go away before too long as well.

Hey, the left is all about "majority rules" so why stick to antiquated Senate decorum and rules? Let's just jam liberty down their throats until they can't stand it anymore.
And when "that day" of Democrat rule comes again (if ever based upon how successful they have been the last 9 years) perhaps they will pause before attempting to change the country into something it was never intended to be.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Don't forget that the whole "60 vote" thing was an artificial construct put in place during a more "genteel" time in American politics.

In recent years, compromise has only meant conservatives caving in to liberal demands. When the rule was not convenient for the left, they abolished most of it. The only chance of the libtards learning a lesson is for the Republicans to use the Dimocrat's own tactics to jam our agenda down their throats for a change. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

When they had the majority in the House, Senate, and White House, they lorded it over us. Now it's our turn and I say, "Make hay while the sun shines." Giving them any consideration has done nothing but bite us in the butt. Now it's their turn in the bowl.

Calling the Reid Rule a nuclear option is typical MSM hysterics.
