No, but close. 2 3/4 inch. Holds 5+1 so the rail gives me one full reload.parabelum wrote:Sweet!

Have you shot it yet?
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Looks really nice. I have 3" in my side mounted shell holder (my 870), but I keep 2 3/4" of 00 hornady in the tube. Those 3"'ers are a bit stout to say the least.
I think mossberg definitely scored a winner with 590 shockwave.

Not yet. I have heard bad things about the safety biting your hand, so will likely sand down the rough edges on the back of the lever before I go to the range. That, or just wear a glove. The laser should eliminate any temptation to get it up near my face.bblhd672 wrote:Have you shot it yet?

Re: My new toy
I've only shot a couple of boxes of #8 bird shot through mine. So far, no safety bite. I have seen those videos too, but, the recoil isn't as bad as I was expecting. I slid a piece of bicycle innertube over the handle for a bit more grip though. Im going to go pattern some buck shot of various makes/sizes to see what works best for me.
I like you're laser/light combo. Looking into that for mine as well.

Good for you Soccerdad, but I've personally never been fond of pistol grip only shotguns.
I have a Mossberg 590 with a collapsible stock AND a pistol grip, and have no problem shouldering 3" high brass shells. I also have the sidesaddle and pressure switch tac light.
