Nice guns! Is it just me, or does it appear Ruger has made the Mini-14 barrel heavier ? Looking at the 2 pictures, series 81 verses the new one, they appear different thicknesses. I used to have a one in the early 90's, never could get it to shoot decent, reliable as all get out though. I'd love to buy one if Ruger has improved the accuracy issues.

The barrels are heavier and accuracy has been improved over the earlier models. That is what I have read before making the purchase.

There is nothing less painful to spend money on that guns, but I can quit any time, I swear :)
