Hex Head Grip Screws for Kahr K9

#1

Post by AEA »

I wanted to replace the slotted grip screws on my Kahr K9 and did some searching and found no supplier.........

I did find a post somewhere from back in 2001 and the Guy said he used 1911 screws but had to shorten them.

I thought about this for awhile, then realized that I had a set of "Slim Grip" Hex Head 1911 screws. These are shorter than the standard 1911 grip screws.

I tried them out on the K9 and they fit PERFECT!

So if you want Hex Head grip screws for your K9, just order whatever finish you desire in 1911 "SLIM Grip" screws.

Great tip! I was wondering what screws to use too and I heard the same thing about using 1911 screws but didn't want to hassle with shortening them!

Glad I could help.
Check out my "How to" on a takedown tool for the K9. Eliminates the need to hold the slide with your "third hand" while tapping the lever out. :cheers2:
