If I am reading the link below correctly, it would make your NRA membership free...... I'd say that makes 1 million Texas members a little easier :txflag:

Put me down for one more. My son joined while we were at the Ft. Worth gun show. I paid of course.

I signed my daughter up for the free membership, then I logged on and paid for junior membership for my 10 yr old grandson.
That makes 5 members in my house. Everyone except the 84 yr old MIL.

After I finish paying off my EP Life membership, I will start converting the others to life memberships. :patriot:

I finally joined a few months ago (just got/found my card yesterday) but can't remember if I did it through this project one-million or some other route. Just went to the free thing and signed up my wife (with her approval)--does that really work?

Oh yeah, and I joined the facebook group and posted the link on my wall or whatever that thing is.

Dang, I am just now seeing this thread. Guess I need to come around more often.

Without knowing, I've helped a bit. Signed up my son, and 2 co-workers just after the election, with a renewal for myself.

I'll do what I can, and post this on my blog for what it's worth.

:patriot: :txflag: While ex-military, I had had no prior recurring interest in using guns for any purpose. But the times force folk's to do many differnt things and it seems like I had been progressing more and more every day towards feeling like I need to arm myself and family members for our own protection. Every year seemed to bring more and more encroachment by villans and governments, alike. With the onerous advent of Democratic Party dominance and their execution of public influence over the private and personal sectors, we recently took action and proudly joined many other Texans in securing our CHL's. We've now also joined the NRA by link from this forum and salute the CHL Forum's efforts to quadruple Texas' memberships, and create/focus awareness, etc. Why not 2 million?

:rules: I firmly believe all aware people must now enjoin in their own personal protection and the patriotic defense of what America is - to stop it from becoming what the Liberals want it to be. The insanity must be stopped and our best focal point is supporting the effort to protect the 2nd Amendment, which the NRA has proven it has been most qualified to accomplish. Thank God for their vigilance! We sane people must add our count to its girth to make it so formidable that we "astro turf" Americans can will this country back on track.
Let's stop 'em, now! :clapping:

Sooo Charles, I was just wondering how many members in Texas are in the NRA these days.
Is there a website that will give the memberships by state?

We have about 350,000 members in Texas. NRA doesn't post those numbers; it seems we're worried about Texas bragging too much.

From lurker to NRA member in just a few simple clicks!

Thank you for joining the NRA. We appreciate your interest in protecting and preserving our Second Amendment rights and promoting safe, responsible gun ownership.

Thanks Chas, for not only reminding us to protect our rights, but running an informative and professional site.

New to the forum as I'm planning to start the process soon and have learned a lot already. I have also been meaning to pay my dues for NRA and just haven't made the time to do it, but your site and this thread made me finally take care of business. Signed up for the ep life membership yesterday! Thanks to everyone here thus far, lots of good reading. Keep up the good work and good luck with this project!
