One Year Free from Taurus?

#1

Post by dthlss1 »

I was on the Academy Sporting Goods website and saw that I can get one year free when I buy a gun from them. Does anyone know anything about that? Do you know if it's from Taurus or Academy? How does it work? Is there paperwork you have to send in or is it like receiving a gift membership? Thanks for your help!

Oops, I forgot to specify. Free one-year membership to the NRA from Taurus (now that I look at the website a little more closely.)

I was just wondering if anyone knew how that worked.

I sent one in to add an additional year to my wife's NRA membership. It did not get added. I pointed it out to the NRA when her renewel came in, and it still never happened. :waiting: Maybe better luck if it is a new membership? :headscratch

IIRC, Taurus will give you one year of free NRA membership
when you purchase one of their firearms. Academy may sell
the gun, but Academy doesn't provide the free year.

The paperwork should be in the new gun's box.

Taurus and the NRA work together in the Miami, FL area
together since that's Taurus' USA HQ.

A Taurus rep mentioned that not as many people
take advantage of this freebie as they should.

Unfortunately I had signed up with the NRA directly and paid
for my membership before buying my Taurus, which would
have saved me the fee.

I was wondering if they added a year to an existing membership.

I guess you answered that for me. :???:

You don't need to buy a Taurus or from Academy. You can get the same offer from the NRA.
