Why you should ALWAYS wear a gunbelt

#1

Post by phrogg »

So I was out in the garage working on a project all weekend long. It was hot and muggy and with the rain that kept starting and stopping it wasn't helping. I had managed to go through 3 sets of clothes during the course of the day because of the sweat.

After a little rest for dinner I got back out there for the last bit of stuff I wanted to get done before turning in for the night. But this time I just grabbed a pair of shorts and tucked in the XDm in the Comp-Tac holster and went to work. About 10pm I squatted down to pick up a PC and put it into the top of the video game that I had been working on and the button on my shorts just popped right off and flew across the room. This, of course, left me with a rather large weight on my hip and nothing to keep my pants up. So they dropped right to the ground. At that same moment, my wife comes out of the house to tell me something. So there I am, standing in my underwear with my shorts around my ankles with a PC in my hands. :biggrinjester:

She got a great laugh out of it and so did I. I was just glad I had shoes on that kept the pistol from smashing my toes on its way down.

So the moral of the story, always wear that gunbelt! I had it on for 2 other sets of clothes but didn't put it on for the last one...and got to be a little embarassed because of it. Fortunately, it was one of the moments when it was raining outside so the garage doors were closed at that moment. "rlol"

Good story and better message.

I ran out of boxers one day and decided to wear an old pair, lets just say that the elastic was GONE and they were full of holes. Well, I had my belt and gun on and some jean shorts and I was walking into the hardware store and all of a sudden... oh nooooo, I felt something sliding and well my shorts and gun stayed up but my boxers hit the floor.

At least you were in the comfort of your home. I had my cheap belt break in an academy entrance. I had to do the walk of shame through pouring rain carrying my daughter in one had and gun and pants in the other.: Good story. I am glad you learned in your garage.

So, why is it, that if such a thing happened to me, my wife would get a big kick out of it, and enjoy the laugh,

but......

If the situation were reversed, and I laughed, there would be heck to pay.
