Administration Weighs Bypassing Congress to Let Illegal Immigrants Stay

I thought this country was in bad shape...I guess it was the tip of the iceberg.

Even if I agreed with amnesty (which I don't) this is the most stupid idea "The Anointed One" has come up with! :banghead:

How the heck can you even consider doing something like this with the borders wide open? Amnesty for all those here, then tomorrow there are 500+ more here.......

How can politicians be so well educated and smart and be so dumb at the same time?

To paraphrase the Department of the Interior

"A second term for Obama could overwhelm the efforts to respond to the current disaster."
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

They have already done this onve before it weas called the simpson- mazolli act I believe and it was promised that afterwards they would beef the borders and never do it again. I'm sure they woud only try this if it was obamas second term but i would imagine the act to look similar to the one stated above

It's all about getting re-elected.
He will do anything...anything.... to win again in 2012.

Where should they apply for "tuition discounts for the citizenship-impaired"????
We need a new government agency ...

Now, to get "their" benefits ... they have to go through
Citizenship
Related
Impairments
Motivational
Employers

Most are in "street sales" probably, like marketing and distribution.

Some are in "collections"b like accounts receivables etc.

No matter what Obama does either way on immigration, Hispanics aren't going to turn out in large numbers for a Republican--worst thing that happens is they stay home.

As a libertarian, my views on immigration differ greatly from most on this board, but bypassing Congress (on this or any issue) isn't the way that immigration reform should happen--it only increases the power of an already too powerful executive branch and is contrary to the Constitution.

At least since James Polk, who never wanted to be nominated for president in the first place, promised to serve only one term, accomplished all his campaign promises in the first 4 years (including bringing Texas into the Union), and stepped down (and died 103 days after leaving office)
