Iowa Dems Flee Capitol To Avoid Gun Legislation

#1

Post by Kythas »

Democrat members of the Iowa legislature have fled Iowa to an "undisclosed location" so they don't have to hold debate on gun bills being advanced by Republicans.

Why is it only Democrats do this? Republicans have never, as far as I know, fled to avoid debating issues with which they disagree. I can think of three instances in three states where Dems have done this in the last few years.

Right. They wanted to offer amendments that would have gutted them of any substantive meaning and made them purely symbolic. Leftists either intend to do very bad things to ordinary citizens, or they are so filled with contempt for citizens that they believe that none of us can be trusted with anything important. Either way, their attitude is despicable, reprehensible, and dastardly.

It's been said before and it's as true as ever. They're not good people with bad ideas.

Why are these "strikes" tolerated and not prosecuted for breach of the public trust or something?
