Obama "under the radar" again?

#1

Post by AEA »

From another site:

On Fri 3/16, Obama signed an Executive Order, Under this order the heads of these cabinet level positions; Agriculture, Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Defense and Commerce confiscate food, livestock, fertilizer, farm equipment, all forms of energy, water resources, all forms of civil transportation (meaning any vehicles, boats, planes), and any other materials, including construction materials from wherever they are available.
It appears that this EO gives him the power to take anything from anyone and distribute or destroy it as he sees fit. I believe it also includes firearms and ammunition.

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
So, he wrote a law prescribing it ... :confused5
Just skimmed it, didn't read closely, seems to stop short of quartering but addresses food

I'm about to get ready for church, will read it later

What does this mean;

"(2)  upon request by the Director of Selective Service, and in coordination with the Secretary of Defense, assist the Director of Selective Service in development of policies regulating the induction and deferment of persons for duty in the armed services;"

That's what I thought, but if you read it in context it does not sound like a traditional draft. It sounds like it will allow them to draft people with specific knowledge or skills.

Found this on "before it's news"

In a nutshell, it’s the blueprint for Peacetime Martial Law and it gives the president the power to take just about anything deemed necessary for “National Defense”, whatever they decide that is.    It’s peacetime, because as the title of the order says, it’s for “Preparedness”.  A copy of the entire order follows the end of this story.

Under this order the heads of these cabinet level positions; Agriculture, Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Defense and Commerce can take food, livestock, fertilizer, farm equipment, all forms of energy, water resources, all forms of civil transporation (meaning any vehicles, boats, planes),  and any other materials, including construction materials from wherever they are available.  This is probably why the government has been visiting farms with GPS devices, so they know exactly where to go when they turn this one on.

Specifically, the government is allowed to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate.  They decide what necessary or appropriate means.

What happens if the government decides it needs all these things to be prepared, even if there is no war?   You likely won’t be able to walk into a store to purchase virtually anything because it will all be requisitioned, “rationed” and controlled by the government.  Construction materials, food like meat, butter and sugar, anything imported, parts, tires and fuel for vehicles, clothing, etc. will likely become unobtainable, or at least very scarce.  How many things are even made here in the USA any more?

Ammo?

No ammo (or reloading supplies) makes civilian guns as useful as a brick!

You would think FOX news would be all over this..........they must be asleep at the wheel!

The president does not "write laws," if by that expression is meant "enacts laws." In pertinent part the penultimate paragraph of this Executive Order reads: "(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law...."

I would humbly suggest that this order is a rational preparation for the horrible -- not another one of those nonexistent conspiracies aimed at keepers and bearers of arms, like us. A similar program had to be developed agonizingly slow beginning in 1941. This order replaces similar orders and takes account of changes in the organization of our national government and the duties, as they have developed, of particular elements of that government. This order simply implements duties of the president prescribed by both the congress and the Constitution.

My answer to the question expressed in the subject line of this thread, while I suspect that it is negatively rhetorical, is "No."

Obama is not going to strike Iran. He's trying to talk Israel into not striking Iran. All he's doing with this is preparing us for a hit by Iran and hoping we "absorb" it. After creating the problem by letting us get attacked, your government will have a solution. They will control your food, water, medicine, your job(income). Hopefully, you'll get your fairshare deemed by the government. :cryin
Food, water, and ammo prepping just makes sense. In an emergency you have it and if there's no emergency you can still use it. None of it goes to waste. :thumbs2:

It means they can "regulate" who is in the military and who is not. Generally, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but this sounds a lot like something that happened in the 30's somewhere in Europe. Put the people you want in place in controlling positions of the military that think like you and get rid of those that will not do your bidding and not think for themselves.

Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

The adminstration's way of taking our great nation back to the 1930s--nation in financial disarray and weak in the face of the world. Mr. President :bigear: --we need one of your practiced head bows in Afghanistan--will you do us the honor?
