First off, sorry about your loss... Cancer needs to die, period

I did sell 2 more personal guns this morning and that should have me caught up, just got one left on the chopping block

Now, on all the rules the ATF agent I spoke with a couple times liked the idea I wanted to learn the rules correctly and that to me seemed to be a positive (hope they are the one that shows up, lol) and there was a great deal of time on the phone

I know you can sell components, new factory ammo, and surplus without any license, but I wanted to get into the market doing stuff like .50AE and .500 SW (which Im going to be working on this weekend :D )

I knew if you kept a firearm "over night" it has to be logged, but what if I offered same day turn around (obviously I will have a serial number invoice service log Im going to keep) or just offering ramp polishing service (think Im going to do my SIG P238 this weekend also

DO you personally think sending the copies of the zoning law, copies of my background forms, proof of home owner ship, copy of my CHL and info, proof of registered business name and filing for TAX ID and 03 FFL would help speed the process???

I hope I will be able to provide answers to someone like me on this, one day :D

i'd say "No". My understanding is unless the customer is staying with you, you're taking possession of it for business purposes.

Send them what they ask for, nothing more :tiphat:

In general I agree, but I'll just add that when I submitted my FFL app, I included a copy of local zoning ordnances as well as an explanation of how my business model would comply with said laws. At the ATF interview, the inspector noted she was glad I'd provided that, as she would have asked me to provide this information if I hadn't already.

Meeting went well, 4 hours long, learned a lot

They said they had to verify my city zoning (I included the rules and the city inspector said there was no issue)
After that they submit to there supervisor and then to the licensing department

I was told it was possible to have it in 2 weeks

Does that seem correct?

Yup. That happened with me. I was blown away!

How long have you had your FFL?

Has business been good? (I am going to push mine like crazy)

Are most people comfortable dealing with a home FFL that works a real job?

My biggest hang up I think is working mon-thur 1pm-1am and off fri-sun with the wife trying to handle stuff during the week
