Upgrade to Endowment for $250?

#1

Post by 77346 »

Is the offer to upgrade Life memberships to Endowment for $250 available only during the Annual Meeting?

I found this offer on the NRA Annual Meeting site, but when I enter my member no. it says "Celebration of American Values - NRA Membership Upgrades are no longer available online."

I don't want to miss the opportunity to upgrade again :banghead: ... and continue helping the 2A cause.

I will contact NRA member services, but wonder if someone here knows...

Can't say for sure, but it was at the last NRA meeting in Houston that I took advantage of a similar offer to upgrade to Benefactor.

Interesting...tagging along to hear...I'd upgrade for sure. I could have sworn I saw an email like that but could not find it.

I'm pretty sure the offer is good right now. I just received a written offer from the NRA (this week or last) to upgrade to endowment for $250, and to sponsor new life members for $300. I'm sure there's nothing special about my membership or position--so I'm sure it's open to all.

I'm going to call life member services this week (when I can get a chance) and upgrade myself to Endowment and get my wife a Life membership.

Link shows no longer available when I enter my Life number.
Wonder if you get the leather jacket that normally comes with Endowment Member (or was that Benefactor)?

I received the leather jacket for the Life membership and there was a mounted plaque with the Endowment membership certificate for the Endowment upgrade. I'm not sure if you're interested in the plaque, but they might offer one with the upgrade (I didn't request one when I upgraded, but I kinda wish I had).

Looks like the best choice depends on your balance of supporting the NRA and getting a title or bragging rights.

I'm the only one in this forum fool enough - that I know of - to shoot himself with a Glock 40.

I bought a NRA gift membership of my AR-15 owning daughter this afternoon and then decided to upgrade my membership from Life. I got a notification that the upgrade could not be made online and here is the 800 number to call. I tried three times over a thirty minute time period and received the 'try again later, all circuits are currently busy' message. You might come to the conclusion that the folks are, shall we say, unsettled...

The only question that remains in my opinion is who will fire the first shot...

Well... I have not received a response to my e-mail query regarding the offer yet (via the link someone else mentioned above). Not much luck via the phone system either. This is probably a good sign... perhaps folks are still joining in large quantities.

Per the handout I received in the mail:

Phone: 1-855-NRA-2013
Website: http://www.NRA-2013.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Haven't tried the phone number, but the website is working for me.
