Magpul is moving to Texas!

Post by CHL Masters »

I just performed a Texas Business Entity Search and found the following information:

MAGPUL DYNAMICS, LLC - Taxpayer ID: 32046698570

MAGPUL INDUSTRIES CORP - Taxpayer ID: 32046161421

https://ourcpa.cpa.state.tx.us/coa/Index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and enter Magpul in the Entity Name Search Box.

Welcome to Texas, Magpul ! We're happy to have you...

I hope this isn't a joke. That would be extremely poor taste for your second post here. ;-)

While the facts may be accurate, the conclusion may not necessarily follow.

Businesses are required to be registered in states where they do business, even if they have no facilities there, for a variety of purposes, typically to appoint an agent for service of process in that state, perhaps to satisfy some requirement of state tax laws, etc.

Here is the listing for Magpul in California, filed in November of last year:

MAGPUL INDUSTRIES CORP.
Entity Number: C3522727
Date Filed: 11/16/2012
Status: ACTIVE
Jurisdiction: DELAWARE
Entity Address: 400 YOUNG CT UNIT 1
Entity City, State, Zip: ERIE CO 80516
Agent for Service of Process: C T CORPORATION SYSTEM
Agent Address: 818 W SEVENTH ST
Agent City, State, Zip: LOS ANGELES CA 90017

Somehow I just can't imagine that signifies that Magpul is moving to California!

Wyoming would probably better fit. Instead of forcing their workers to move they would just have a long as commute

Agreed.

Cheyenne is about 80 miles from their location north of Denver. The difference in commute distance might not be all that much for some folks.

Didn't they say they were going to become a multi-state operation? Maybe it's both.

If they don't come to Texas, I'l be disappointed, but I can live with that as long as they do as they threatened and pull out of Colorado. Legislators MUST see these threats made by businesses carried out. I hope every gun owner who was making plans for ski and hunting trips and vacations avoids Colorado too, and writes nice letters informing legislators who supported this bill why. Include a statement of how much money you spent in a gun friendly state instead. :mad5

Until next year's elections, when voters will most likely make those politicians feel unemployed.

Don't be so sure of that. A lot of idiots vote. Or a lot of voters are idiots.

I agree completely baldeagle.
That's why, now that the sleeping 2A voter has been awakened, the idiots will be swayed by the grassroots efforts to throw out the usurping-anti-legislators-in-commie-clothing.

I hope.

Perhaps, but it's Colorado, not NY, CA, or IL. There are a LOT of angry people there right now.

Gun control will be a pyrrhic victory for Democrats. They might get some stuff passed, but they'll lose tons of seats in the process. The last big vote was almost 20 years ago and that one still frightens them.
