Re: CHL returned to holder from LEO damaged?

It was a Harris County Constable from precinct 4. I don't think it was the clip because the scratches are about an inch and a half wide and travel the length of the license - like scratching off a lottery ticket. Seems like it stops short of the magnetic stripe purposefully as well. I'm not too conc...

CHL returned to holder from LEO damaged?

I'm puzzled here, maybe someone in law enforcement can clarify for me. So I'm stopped for speeding on the Hardy Toll Road northbound (cruise set on 75, officer says 80 - but that's neither here nor there). The stop goes perfectly fine; I have the interior light on, CHL, DL, insurance waiting for him...

Re: Sig Sauer .40 caliber handguns were found "not firing"

Which model were these? There's a first-run 9mm 250 compact in my family that has never had an issue of any kind - but I also had a .40 that was giving me light primer strikes. So there's my conflicting anecdotal evidence to consider. If SJSD had called me and asked I would not have suggested it.

Re: Sig p238 problems

With regard to the replacement of the old round wire recoil spring, they no longer replace the old springs as a courtesy. I called today to inquire, and they politely offered me three for $12.00 on their website.

Re: Here We Go Again...

We need a man who despises politics and has never held elected office - a veteran, without the allegiances that plague the career politician. We need someone who is willing to get his hands extremely dirty, and expose the usurpations. The real question is not which pantywaist neo-conservative or mod...

I believe all of the principals are instructed to provide verbal notice of the District's preference. However, as a tutor it is unlikely she was present when the notice was given.

Re: BOYCOTT GROUPON

Anyone buy that "groupon" for the Houston Beer Festival a couple years ago? You know, the one where non-groupon attendees walked right in without a line, and groupon holders waited for 2 hours in a line that wrapped around an entire city block? Ya... that was the last time I was grouponned.

Re: Texas Lt. Gov. calls for gun training for teachers

What do mothers do that carry?? Do they not let their own kids within their personal space? Never hold their toddlers? The argument about "crowded halls" is bunk, what do each of us do when we are in crowded situations? How often do the general public disarm a CHL carrier? Concealed is co...

It's a shame the Beretta 96 hasn't been more positively received. I suppose Beretta will entering this weapon in the trials for the replacement.

I'll gladly purchase those M9s.... who do I speak with? :coolgleamA:

Re: Texas Lt. Gov. calls for gun training for teachers

I think on the body would be good for most, but I'm not sure that kindergarten 1st grade and some special education teachers have particular issues with physical contact with students. There's potential for physical contact at other levels as well. These schools are often extremely overcrowded. Go ...

Re: Mosin Nagant 91/30

I am thinking of getting a few of these. In these times what is a good price for one? Just a basic one. May use it to hunt a little. I acquired a 1942 Izhevsk in 2011 for $99. The original poster here picked up the same rifle in 11/2012 for $110. Even in the current fervor, I wouldn't be comfortabl...
