Might need to get myself a Prius

BRCC mounted a Vulcan to a Prius.
“Why? Because Raptors are expensive.”
Enjoy.

Re: An Important Message to NRA Members

I hope management resolves these problems so the NRA can get back to supporting its members' interests. I believe they still support our interests, but I understand what you mean: this has to be a big distraction from their primary goal. I hope this is resolved soon so they can eliminate the distra...

Re: The Much-Maligned, Under-powered 30 U.S. Carbine

I absolutely love mine. I was in the fortunate position to help a neighbor unload a small armload of these right after Harvey hit here in Houston, and she gifted me one of them for my trouble. I was out shooting one of this load just this past weekend. https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/0435/53nljasv...

Re: Ross Perot death

While I don't have much recollection of the Vietnam POW rescue stories, I'll never forget reading Ken Follett's book On Wings of Eagles , which tells the tale of Ross Perot's funded mission to rescue his own execs from Iran. I respect how he wouldn't let his own people down, and put his money where ...

Re: City courthouse with 30.06 and 30.07 sign. Legal?

Do they have offices other than those used by the courts? If so, they can’t ban the whole building, just the courtroom and court offices. However, courthouses are a prohibited location. They don’t have to post 30.06 or 30.07. It’s sill a class 3 felony for an individual with an LTC to carry at a co...

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast

It was great to be able to attend this month's breakfast again in Pearland. Only five of us made it this time, but the food and the company were both enjoyable!

Hope to be able to join again soon.

Teach me about buying suppressors

I don't have any NFA items (yet), and I'm considering getting my first suppressor. I've seen plenty on this forum on how folks get an NFA trust, but my question is 'why'? What's the value proposition of getting an NFA trust vs. not doing one? I welcome input from all the folks who've been down this ...

Re: NRA Threads and Bogus Attacks

I do not trust the media and I certainly do not trust the stories on the NRA. It is obvious people are trying to tear apart the NRA using it’s own membership. I do not know Wayne LaPierre, I do not know Chris Cox, I do not know Ollie North but fortunately I know Charles enough to know that I trust ...

Another 3006 sign came down

A couple months ago Mrs VolTexan asked me to stop in the Tostada Regia restaurant in the Westchase area of Houston. She'd heard they have good food, and wanted me to bring some home. I arrived at the place and found a couple of 3006 and 3007 signs in the windows. Weighing my two options of (a) going...

Re: Governor Abbott Signs Ten Pro-Second Amendment Bills into Law

Charles,

I'm looking forward to your 'country boy interpretation' of these bills for those of us with limited legal knowledge.
I know you've got your hands full with other 2A issues at this time, so I'm OK with waiting until you're ready to share your wisdom.
