Re: Shooting In Abilene

Victim absolutely had mental health issues. Numerous incidents prior to this. I'm not defending tweedledee and tweedledum- rumor mill is manslaughter for dad and m1 for son - and I agree. That being said, there was a whole bunch of crazy in that alley that morning and lots of opportunities to de-esc...

Re: Moving to Texas

Depends on where in Texas. I know some of the more urban counties do emissions as well as safety. Those of us living in the more free portions of this great state dont have to deal with that nonsense.

IWB hybrid cleaning

While cleaning my edc this evening I realized I was out of saddle soap, which led me to start pondering. I clean my edc IWB holster every time I clean the gun inside it - at least monthly and bi- weekly most of the time. I wipe down the kydex shell with whatever is handy, and use saddle soap on the ...

Re: Fixed Blade Knives

I edc a benchmade auto and a leatherman on my left, a fixed and a hook on my right. Most of the time - my fixed is a mora and I abuse it, or used to. I was gifted a little kbar neck nice a few months ago and after a polite thank you and a chuckle I dropped it in my pocket with my loose change and li...

Had no problems last Thursday at underwood's bbq in brownwood. Saw several people open carrying, I was casually concealed.

Re: First AR, Colt M4 Trooper vs Sig M400 Elite

My colts are all a few years older...20-30 so no input on current offerings however my wife has the sig- it has been absolutely reliable with a wide variety of loads, has a nice enough trigger that a Jewell snob like me left it alone and it runs 69smk 1/4 moa with a properly tossed pinch of benchmark.

Re: Your most “American” gun on this 4th of July

Since my "bbq celebration ' consisted of 2 dozen briskets, a dozen assorted vendors, 3000 people, just shy of 100 classic/ show cars, games for kids, and 5000 pounds of fireworks- I didn't have much time for show and tell. I carried my Croatian special, with yankee bullets in a Texas made holster on...

Great deal. I've had a neos since they first came out - one of the most accurate pistols I've ever held. Buck Rodgers jokes aside - these are phenomenal plinkers.

Any holster for a colt mustang should work as well.
If you want something a bit different- I have an Andrew's custom monarch shoulder rig over in the market section. :tiphat:

Re: S&W 340pd. Airlite 357 mag

Thanks for the kind words TAM, I've put enough through it to be comfortable and can honestly say the 158 Winchester st are a bit more accurate than the 125 hornady. That being said - I have it stoked with 125s right now. It certainly speaks with authority but anyone with any reasonable handgun exper...

It's a handful.
But there's something nice about dropping a 'full power' handgun in the pocket of your gym shorts or scrubs and not worrying about a belt.
For reference an iPad mini weighs more than this thing.

Fixed it.
Had to edit it several times, it kept cutting text off - it's been a techno-illogical Monday part deux today.
