Buy one of those vests like some big box retailer employees wear. Put a name tag on & no one will be the wiser. Just another working guy.
BTW it doesn't have to be your name on the tag, just be prepared to be called whatever name is on the tag.

Accurate # 7 for pistol
Powder has been tight around here. In the run up to the election I decided to get some more primers and powder. The only pistol powder available at the reload store was accurate number 7. Wonder if anyone knows anything about it I think it helps to get out of our comfort zones with different ...

Re: Made my first alloy and ingots today!
Buying bullets irks me. I bought exactly one box of bullets. Hornady XTP @ .21 each. I shot 6 of them and eventually will shoot the rest but the cost almost warrants buying those rounds instead of reloading. I cast 450 thankgiving weekend in one session in a similar setup as the op. Drop them in ...

Re: First time carrying, already avoiding people like the pl
Just takes a little getting used to. I check my shirt tail frequently to make sure I'm covered while wearing iwb.
Now that It's winter, in theory, I sometimes wear a light jacket that covers quite nicely over my owb.
Good luck.

Re: A "first" when stopped by DPS last night
I like the idea of locking the door and standing at the rear or off road side of my truck. I don't feel comfortable with anyone handling my weapon. When I am out of the locked vehicle I am disarmed. I would ask politely how this condition does not qualify as disarmed ? I would explain to him I don't ...

I like what Danny Glover said in Silverado." I don't wanna kill you & you don't wanna be dead." Pretty much sums it up rather simply.

Re: In chamber or no?
Was watching some videos on you tube and counting the seconds. Most of them were over in three to five seconds. Distance was 3-10 feet. In that scenario if you're not cocked and locked your dead. Carry chambered and maybe with a thumb safety on. I have a da/sa 9 mm so the thumb safety is only on ...

Re: Hog hunting questions
I loaded 200 gn xtp just under max for my Vaquero 45 lc. We are going to a stand with a feeder. The shot is maybe 20 yards. I think it will do the trick. If not I have some 250 gn cast round nose I loaded to max. Still have my 308 if the Colts don't do the trick.

Re: Concealing a sig p229
I carry a Ruger P 89. I'll carry it til next spring. I have my eye on a mid sized Armalite 9mm. Gotta save my pennies. My lgs keeps them in stock. I'm a sucker for the 1911 platform. Something about the hammer being visible is comforting to me.

Probably the best formula for an ultrasonic. I just use an ounce or less of the caseys though.

Re: What will you load next?
I will probably load 9mm. Have about 600 cases cleaned, primed and flared, ready to finish. problem is I need to cast about 300 more bullets.
It's a vicious cycle. :)
