Re: Where to Email CHL Packet?!
Name with a number with generic useless replies. If i was to bet i would bet on them being bots. Yeah i don't remember there being a 30 day send off time. Isn't it two years for new, one year for renewals? I would have to check my notes but i'm pretty sure its not 30 days. I get why they are hiding ...

Re: How do you convert a Word file to PDF?
As others have said the newer office has PDF built in. But if i remember right it is pretty bare bones and is missing some features that others such as cutePDF has. So if i cant get it to work in office i then use cutePDF or Foxit instead.

Re: Training Supplies
For Training Guns i always prefer using a Airsoft replica. That way you can actually show the slide working, you can remove the magazine, and even do basic stripping and maintenance. All stuff that you can not do on a blue/red/yellow solid gun, such as reloads, malfunctions, and basically anything, ...

Re: Painting sights
This is something i have been looking into as well, what i have noticed in my M&Pc is the sights are a bit indented and some lint and dirt can get in there and dull it out until i get around to cleaning it. I been planning on switching them out for some night sights but this should hold me over ...

Re: Med kit?
Adding in here, I have a kit at every location that i spend my most time at. My vehicles all have one, one on each level of my house, one at work, smaller kits in each one of my range bags. I even have a few trainers around for teaching and practicing. Sure the cost adds up but i would rather have i...

Re: home made holster
Its very nice. I have tried making a few of my own out of just kydex but i could never get it to match as well as a more 'commercial' holster. I think going with a more hybrid method is a pretty smart idea. I generally make all my accessories out of kydex on my own though, things like magazine holst...

Re: Range Rental - North Fort Worth ??
And I suppose THEY can't be surprised when outside instructors don't recommend ranges to their students that don't allow outside instructors -- or actually badmouth them when asked which ranges are good/bad. The fact is that 1) they would make money on the proficiency portion that they are now losi...

Re: Range Rental - North Fort Worth ??
Im one of the CHL instructors Shoot Smart picked up a few months back. You can't be surprised that they don't allow outside instructors. They are a business and a big part of it is CHL. Finding a range around here is pretty difficult, so i did the whole 'well if you cant beat them join them'. Its pr...

Re: Back Up Gun vs Tactical Blade
I think the reason many folks haven't trained for fighting with the knife they carry is because the knife is carried primarily as a utility tool. These posts show that a knife is viewed primarily as a utility tool, this is very handy because there are a a lot fewer places where having a knife on yo...

Re: Back Up Gun vs Tactical Blade
For the poll: http://i.imgur.com/lfXmguJ.jpg Hey now Herb and ELB don't forget about us up here in Fort Worth, we meet up twice a week as well. :P I am not a SEAL nor have I any combat training for fighting with a knife. Its great for everyday use, I guess I could use it for self defense. 3. I don't...

Re: Arlington Sportmans Club - Any members here?
Is it hard to find references from Senior Members? I'm not sure I know anyone that is a member. Nope not hard at all. Show up to the monthly meeting for some free food. Participate in a few matches as a guest (there is at least one every weekend). Meet some people and get them to sign off on your a...
