Re: Police Academy Adventures

As an elementary school teacher...I can verify that cursive is dead. In preparing students for the future, it is critical that they leave elementary school with strong keyboarding skills. Over 85% of our written communication in the professional realm is done on a keyboard. Cursive was once deemed ...

Indeed.com has that feature and there are quite a few jobs listed there... .

If you want a Texas CHL Fill out the application, if not don't. It is a simple form and easy to do. If you lie on it and they find out you won't have a chl.

Re: Arlington Tx Officer seizes CHL holders gun

@TexanJoker -- I respect your point about forming an opinion, I don't think I have yet. On the other hand, I don't see the relevance of listening to the 911 call. Calm or excited, she did the city a favor -- two scumbags are in jail because she wanted a closer inspection of a car she thought might ...

Getting to go through all the operator training and getting the cool ninja toys to play with is a perk of the job. Every swat operator I've ever talked to says its one of the best parts of the job. If I ever make swat I would want every advantage I could get over the bad guy. I don't want a glock w...

Re: Question about requirement to disclose you are carrying?

Good grief, man. Just be respectful and courteous. Giving short, non responsive answers is neither. I do not see you ever getting out of a ticket. But then again you are grown. :thumbs2: Best of luck to you :tiphat: Being courteous got him his guns taken. I'm not as trusting. ( again, source ) This...

Re: Arlington Tx Officer seizes CHL holders gun

I would like to know what really happened and don't form an opinion on one news story. The article states she pulled in behind the car and called 911. She said she was holding her hand up asking them to hold on. Was she asking or demanding with their car blocked in? Did she tell them she was armed? ...

Awesome LEO! They should all go exactly like that... If they show up for a tender bender it seems the least they could do is fill out the paperwork. Private property accident. In our town, that gets you a "are you injured, do you need me to call for a wrecker, and fill out this form if you want to,...

Re: 5 Count um 5 masked men rob Denny's patrons in Humble

I worked with a guy in SO CAL. He was eating dinner with his family when a take down robbery went down at a Mexican restaurant. Two robbers, one had a AK and the other a handgun. They went table to table robbing the customers because they were not happy with the cash register. He had a glock 22 in h...

Re: Emory police chief facebook post.

Here is a reader's comment regarding the above article. He claims he is an ex-cop with substantial experience. I think he is spot on with his comments. Off Duty Mar 21st, 21:52 In my 30+ year law enforcement career which began in the mid 70's, I have been involved in hundreds of arrests, from petty...
