We are at the Keller/Watauga/Fort Worth border. 377, between Basswood and North Tarrant. We would be happy to help you!

Re: When 51% isn't 51%

Yes, do what Joe just said. Drop the dime. We have been dropping the dime on a local establishment for more than a year now, and nothing has changed. Can't figure out whether the owner is just confused or purposefully displaying the wrong sign. Or maybe TABC hasn't said anything to them, so they ar...

Re: New member with a question.

Yeah I've been following that. I don't want to cause any one alarm. I just want to protect myself. I live in San Antonio and now that I've been able to actually go out and experience the world, I've noticed that my city has quite a bit of gang violence and just violence in general. I try to avoid t...

Re: Need Trigger Work from Gunsmith

Bill - We use a great company in Denton for all our gunsmithing work. I know it's far, but you could ship it to them, they do the work, and ship it back to you. If you are interested in going this route, let me know, and I'll get that information to you.

Re: Way off sights

Without knowing your skill level, are you sure it isn't operator error? If not operator error, contact Smith & Wesson. See if there are any issues within that serial number range. Get their directive. But I wouldn't take it to a gunsmith to start, especially if is almost brand new. Use the manuf...

Re: scary question

Make sure you give him ammo, too, because he won't be able to buy pistol ammo. He is good to go if you gift him the pistol. He can conceal it in his home and have it in his vehicle, as long as he is following all laws and staying out of gun free school zones, etc. (and I assume he is not living on a...

Re: CHL holder shoots man in Oak Cliff Dallas

"they" = DPS IIRC, DPS laid down the law in my instructor class in 2013 that only DPS approved guest speakers could speak during the allotted class time, and then I inferred that DPS wasn't wanting any guest speakers any more. The instructor is to instruct, not bring in any other speakers....

Instructor for Navy Pistol / Rifle Qual

Hey guys - I had a call from a Navy Airman asking if I could do his Navy pistol and rifle qualification while he is in school in Fort Worth. Only catch is the range safety officer has to be current or former Navy. I am neither, so I told him I would put a feeler out to the instructors here and see i...

Re: Best DUI stop EVER!

It is Reno 911. I use this during the breaks in my CHL class. No, not during my class. During the breaks. Also use Johnny Carson's Clapper Caper episode with Joe Friday and sometimes Carol Burnett. My students, young and old, get a giggle out of these!

Re: NRA Recertification Future Requirements

Correct, connected as through the computer. But also actively connected, meaning that you are going to the instructor portal, putting in your training classes, following the notices the big guys are sending through, etc. It's just a theme I noticed throughout the presentation.

Re: NRA Recertification Future Requirements

I do agree that he is saying it isn't just NRA classes that need to be reported. However, a major word used throughout this presentation is 'active' or 'connected'. One TX CHL class every two years, IMO, won't reach the status of being an 'active' instructor. However, it makes me happy to see that N...

Re: I NEED YOUR HELP !!!!!

Our high school band boosters started a scholarship similar to this one - it is always funded by the boosters. Every year the boosters budget the cost/amount of the scholarship into their budget. The boosters also sponsor two other band scholarships as well. The boosters fundraise throughout the yea...
