Does anyone here have access to the course of fire the Harris County Sheriff's department uses, along with the scoring, target, etc.?

Re: HB421 Reported Favorably as Substituted

Our government at work. This bill would say that you can BE volunteer security for the church, you just can't CALL yourself security by using the word security on garments. Got it.

Re: Additional Training Houston

I have trained for the last year with MAST Solutions. I can't say enough good about them and they have classes for all levels. https://mastsolutions.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Cullen Performance Hall

As a benefit to anyone here that may attend an event at this facility.. The typical purse checks were done, however, no wanding or any other measures were in place. I thought it good information to know if you are trying to determine how to arm yourself since you cannot legally carry there.

Cullen Performance Hall

I am attending a concert/performance soon as Cullen Performance Hall (UH Campus). Does anyone know what kind of security checks there may be? No, I'm not planning on carrying a firearm there if you're wondering.

Reminder: Check your ammo

I recently purchased 2k rounds of 9mm 115gr reman. ammo from Freedom Munitions. I had heard nothing but good things about them so I went ahead and ordered with confidence. I broke open a case the night before a class and decided to take a look at the rounds. Thankfully I did as I noticed several rou...

Class Review: First Aid for Firearms

Disclaimer: I have no personal or financial interest in PerSys Medical Training Centers. I write this review only for the benefit of those that would benefit from this training as I have. I recently began looking for a combat trauma class in Houston. My interest was to learn how to prevent hemorrha...

Re: HB2535 and SB1324

I was hoping to have a separate thread regarding this portion of the bills, rather than three pages of whether it is needed, the definition of security, etc.

HB2535 and SB1324

I have read these bills but I am not clear on what effect the change to TPC §46.035 would have on us. Can someone here elaborate? HB 2535 (Schaefer, R): Relating to the exemption from certain security licensure of certain persons who provide security services on a volunteer basis at a private primar...

Re: WTB Walther PPQ

That's my fear. With all of the M2 models shipping, the M1 is going to be very difficult to find.
