Re: Range membership advice

Thought it was only fair on my part to post that Fusion has now made good on the promise in a PM to return my money. I received the check today. So, from my standpoint Fusion has met their obligation with me.

Thank you!

Re: Range membership advice

I appreciate the help folks. I'm still one of those old enough guys that believes you should give people the chance to make good. My last post was nearly two weeks ago. I did receive several private messages from the supposed new manager of Fusion seemingly to fix the issue. He asked if I was in town last week, which I wasn't for a few days. Once I returned, I sent him several text messages. Fell on deaf ears. Looks like smalls claims it is. Where I have heard some good reports on this place, just wanted to let those in the area know that my experience has been far from positive.

Thanks!

Re: Range membership advice

Lost dog, thank you for the response. I sent you a PM back. As long as I receive my refund, I'll be happy. I prefer to not take the legal route as it costs us both money and time. I'd far rather have you do the right thing by sending the refund. If received, I'm good.

I prefer to not show up on another's private property with an issue. I've learned lessons from my own mistakes. I won't put myself in that position typically.

Re: Range membership advice

Just to be clear. I meant that I am not the type to have someone take $300 out of my pocket, offer a service, and give me zip. However, I am also 53, since I have my CHL and have barely had speeding tickets I'm not going to go to anyone's private property and act stupid. Exactly why I haven't gone to see this fella, as he and the money aren't worth a fight or a trespassing charge. If he needed money and deserved the charity I'd give him the dang money. But, at this point he appears to be a dishonorable business owner at best.

If I do nothing but let people know this guy hasn't had the decency of any communication and so far he has "taken" my money with no form of service in return, it'll be worth the peace of mind that a few may avoid also giving him their money.

Re: Range membership advice

I think it's funny you assume I am a hair away from shooting someone when I say I am confrontational. No wonder people might hesitate to ask a question on this site. Sheesh!

Re: Range membership advice

You know, I intentionally didn't include the name of the range. But I'm not sure at this point he deserves respect, and I have now asked for my money back, in writing, on multiple occasions. So, it's Fusion Range in Forney.

Range membership advice

What would you do?? My son and I shot at a local range. Really close to my house. Not too nice but functional. Owner introduced himself, told us it was a private range, but we could shoot all day for $45. Yearly dues of $350. So if I joined I'd pay $305. Sent in application and check for $305. Cashed my check in early November. I've left multiple phone messages. Talked to him once about two months ago. He said he'd send my ID card. Never saw anything. Left more messages. Sent 5 e mails. All ignored. I am the confrontational type so I'm a little concerned about going to his place of business. It's now the principle of the deal. Would you write it off as bad judgement, file a small claims suit, what? As a CHL I know better than to put myself in a situation on private property that could become a legal issue. I don't need the money but I also am not a fan of having this joker steal my $305. Thoughts?
