Re: walmart asking for chl

TABC rules state that an establishment will have it's liquor license revoked if the license holder permits an individual to possess an unlicensed handgun in the establishment. When an individual carries concealed into an establishment that sells liquor, the proprietor is unaware of the gun. If any i...

Re: Uh-oh!

Oct 2014, its a little out of date. Not to mention this happened in Oregon, not in Texas. And the difference it makes is what, exactly? The difference I believe it makes is that, upon first reading your post, my initial impression was that this was somehow related to Open Carry going into effect in...

Seriously?!?! To exercise my "right" to carry, I have to have liability insurance?? Driving a car is NOT a right. it is a privilege, that is not guaranteed by the Constitution. This is absolutely absurd!

Re: CHL Renewal after license expires

I don't believe that bill extends the grace period for renewals. Applications completed more than one year after the previous license expired would still require a new application, with the associated training, fees, fingerprints, et cetera. That begs a question when you say "applications comp...

Re: CHL Renewal after license expires

That's good news. Does he have to postmark his CHL-100 by 12/23/2012 or does the fact he paid online before 12/23 mean he can do a renewal even if he doesn't take the class until Easter? The license has to be renewed within 1 year of it's expiration date. The OP has until 12/23/2012 to get his clas...

Re: CHL Renewal after license expires

Thank you for all the information. I submitted my renewal and paid the $72 to the state on August 14th which, based on the information posted, is beyond the 90 day limit. I just checked the DPS website and it lists my status as awaiting forms so hopefully they will still accept my application.

CHL Renewal after license expires

Apologies in advance if this has already been answered, I looked for a similar post and could find none. My CHL expired Dec 23rd 2011. This is my first renewal, I paid my state renewal fees back in August but because of work have not had time to take the renewal class until now. My question is, beca...

I can't believe people believe this nonsense. No one in their right mind would pass such garbage into law, knowing good and well it would spell the end of their political career. And if it ever did become law, are you seriously going to provide this information willingly?! Guns? I dont own any guns....

P.S. Supposedly Jomax neutralizes the bleach. I was careful not to get any on the lawn. I guess will see in a couple of days. Jomax is mixture of Acetic Acid (vinegar) and water. pH is between 3.0 & 3.5 Bleach is mixture of Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium hydroxide, and water. pH is between 11 &...

Re: CHL allowed at Fort Worth Alliance Air Show?

I attended the air show Saturday, and the gate located by the control tower was posted 30.06 on both sides of the entrance. They also had signs advising firearms were prohibited. Security at the gate was provided by the Texas Air Guard. They did not use metal detectors and only conducted random sear...

Re: Serving on Jury in Tarrant County

No, you cannot carry inside the courthouse and no, they do not have storage facilities onsite - you will have to leave it in your vehicle or at home. I usually park at the pay lot located at 201 W Belknap Ft. Worth, TX 76102. Its an attended lot so I feel comfortable leaving my pistol in the truck. ...

Re: TLR-1 or TLR-3?

I have the TLR-1 for my Springfield XD. I've had it for a little over a year now. It is aluminum, uses 2 CR123 batteries, is incredibly bright, and seemingly indestructable. I get on average about 2 hrs runtime on fresh batteries before there is any discernable loss of brightness. However, the brigh...
