Re: TX: Houston criminals get their guns from cars not gun stores

Perhaps Chief Acevedo would advocate the repeal of TPC 46.035 so that LTC holders would have fewer occasions where they would need to leave their EDC in their car/truck. :iagree: But we're too late. Now that TX has been a purple (half red/half blue) state for a while, most handgun laws are Californ...

Re: LTC License Validation Website

I'm not entering my number into that thing since I know it's valid. However, for those that have, after you enter it what happens? Does it only indicate validity or does it also give any other personal information? If it does I don't like that AT ALL. It won't take long for someone to set something...

Re: DPS Affidavit: Poncho Nevarez Dropped his Cocaine

I was excited about his departure, but looking up his voting record - the man is an anomaly. I don't get why he votes yes on some bills for our side, and no on others. What's his angle? Could also be to game the NRA rating system. Give just enough votes for pro-gun legislation when it is obvious th...

...We just can’t kill them on our side of the border without suspending the Constitution....and that’s a road none of us should want to travel down, because the NEXT president might use that excuse to terminate anyone they don’t like on our side of the border—including anyone of us. :iagree: I have...

Re: Special Election Today

Put me down with the same tally as the OP. AND, a big fat no on a $10million (10,000,000) bond to give to the high school. I'm afraid I will be in the minority on that one and my property taxes will go up some more. :banghead: $10m? That is small potatoes! On my ballot were nearly half a billion in...

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/a-waste-texas-gun-control-activist-shoots-her-three-children-dead-in-murder-suicide MSM sources seem to not report that she was a Gun control activist. The Washington Examiner and some other smaller on line sources do include that. What I'm finding more and m...

Re: Rep Elijah Cummings dead

Trey Gowdy posted the following on facebook; Elijah Cummings was one of the most powerful, beautiful & compelling voices in American politics. The power and the beauty came from his authenticity, his conviction, the sincerity with which he held his beliefs. We rarely agreed on political matters. We...

I too would love to know what charge they would arrest you for. This is taking place in Zilker park, which last time I checked was owned by the taxpayers. It is not a prohibited location by statute so 30.06/7 should not apply.

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

The sound bite I'm hearing has the jury foreman saying "No outbursts" after the verdict was read. Since when does the jury foreman control the courtroom? This is outrageous. I read that it was a bailiff who made that statement. That makes a heck of alot more sense. https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/...

I'm predicting - Guilty, Manslaughter. I really don't care about her job, about the difference between a home or a rented apartment.... she negligently killed an innocent person inside their own place - period. :iagree: If I were on that jury I would go with man slaughter and a light sentence of wh...

Re: CPR Bill?

Meh. If passed, it would have given every nurse, MD, EMT, Paramed, Fireman and many LE a 1/2 free DL, in addition to everyone who went for their card, "just because." CPR cards are good for 2 years, so SoT is losing fees on all certified people for 1/2 of the period between DL renewals, which is a ...

Re: Sign Posting On A Collage Campus

1. College sporting events are no longer prohibited by statute. Campus carry law changed that. Colleges must post 30.06 to prohibit carry at sporting events. Emphasis mine. PC §46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER (b) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder inten...
