Re: If You Find an Unmanned F35 Stealth Fighter

Not the first time. I recall a story from Danang during the VN war. An A-4 pilot punched out, but the A-4 continued to circle the base becoming a navigation hazard. A returning A-4 pilot still had some rockets left, so he was vectored to shoot down the pilotless A-4. He missed.

Re: Texas Vehicle Inspection

It's a problem in 38 other states, and everywhere, it just isn't a MSM key issue. I see multiple vehicles with failed lights every time I go anywhere. And some of them assuredly have other safety issue failures that can't be seen the way non-working head/tail/turn/brake bulbs can. It's a stupid dec...

Re: Coffee City Police - East Texas

I thought the state did not allow small towns to keep their traffic citation revenue after a certain level?

Re: Texas Vehicle Inspection

What's interesting about all this motor vehicle emissions testing only is that with my Ford diesel pickup the previous testing has only been for safety stuff. Texas has never done emissions testing on my diesel. There's a lot of diesel trucks in Texas, I can't imagine doing emissions testing on all...

I see this as a mixed bag... Less government is good, but I think overall road safety will suffer a bit.
It's apparently not a problem in 38 other states.

Re: TSA Approved Lock or Non-TSA Approved Lock?

The reason they would not accept a military ID or LTC is that they do not meet the Federally mandated "Real ID" criteria, i.e. the gold star on your drivers license. While other forms of ID may be acceptable in Texas, only a Real ID is acceptable to TSA. And Atlanta Hartsfield has such a ...

so, no pocket knives. but if you are LTC concealed carrying, don't you bypass the metal detector and therefore should be able to (conceal) carry your pocket knife?

Re: Sign Changes - why?

There is a lot of ignorance about signage, especially after Constitutional Carry was passed.

I just concern myself with knowing the law and which signs I can ignore (or comply with).

BTW, I've also had a positive experience with TABC enforcing correct signage.

Re: Texas Vehicle Inspection

Great, just great. That many more unsafe vehicles roaming around waiting to wreck someone. Stupid move. Not any different than 39 other states. CA has no safety inspection, so the base I was stationed at had their own safety inspection to get a base sticker. Stationed in MD, no safety inspection, j...

It was among dozens of bills that didn't get a House floor vote before the midnight deadline. Freedom from religion (and Christian Nationalists) preserved.
