Re: TSRA’s Alice Tripp announces retirement

I have had the pleasure of talking with Alice Tripp twice on the phone, once was with Charles Cotton and another party. I will miss knowing that Alice Tripp is fighting for us, but at the same time I hope Mike Cox lives up to the very high standard she set. For the record I suspect that Alice is the...

Since my sarcasm has been used up at work, that is the best I could muster. The NRA isn't the strongest link in the chain that secures our second amendment, THE NRA IS THE CHAIN!

Re: Anyone here use SIG's Pro Shop?

Many years ago I purchased a police trade in P226, when the sig service plan was offered to me at 1/2 price and free shipping as part of a custom shop promotion I couldn't refuse. Been real happy with the gun. They did do a bit more work than the plan advertised but it didn't affect the cost. I have...

Re: Anti drone equipment

I'm wondering how the FAA would handle one drone accidentally crashing into another....call out the NTSB? For commercial operations it depends on a two factors (Per § 107.9): 1. Did anyone lose consciousness or receive any serious Injuries? 2. Was there damage to property other than the sUAS that w...

I am unapologetically stealing this and ScottDLS's post for use on Twitter. Sue me.
I'll enjoy seeing it weaponized properly, but please use my corrected version as a basis to clarify the universal background checks are only for MGs.

Re: NRA and Red Flag Laws

If we have no chance of stopping red flag laws then I say we play their game and actually compromise along the lines of: You can have your red flag laws You can even require registration of new machine guns :biggrinjester: along with a universal instant NICS background check on said machine guns, we...

Re: Mass.: Magnet fishing. UZI, .40 Glock, Colt Cobra, 2 more HG's.

This sounds odd to me. Why in the world would someone go magnet fishing? To have a cover story. Commit the crime and toss the gun(s) in the pond, then go back years later and claim to have found them and call the police to notify them of what you found. They would never suspect the person that foun...

Deputy followed protocol, glad he did the right thing. Wonder how bad the stab wound was, hope he recovers and doesn't worry/feel bad about doing the right thing.
He is recovering just fine last I heard, he might even be back at work by now.

Re: Can I find out if an individual has a LTC

Is there somewhere I can check to see if a neighbor is licensed? I spoke to someone about this, the person stated it would be no problem to get the entire state of Tx Ltc holder's list. I'm guessing money would be needed for this information but the person did not say that?. I have no idea or clue ...

Re: How to Carry Cell Phone

I tend to carry my primary handgun on my right side (strong side) and everything else on my left (weak side). My cell is a Galaxy S8 in an otterbox w/ belt clip. I absolutely hate how big it makes the phone among other things but due to my work environment and other factors it protects the phone bet...

Another question? Is the 10mm and the 45 ACP same size as in using same holster, mag holders etc...?
Yes, you can even use .45 magazines in a pinch if you are careful, just be sure the cartridge doesn't jump ahead of the extractor.

Thank you for responding to my post. Please do not think I am being confrontational, the post you quoted is my first interaction with you or anyone else on this subject. Re: Colt Delta Elite 10mm

The 1911 wasn't designed to handle the 10mm. This resulted in two things. 1) old 10mm pistol frames wore out in 4-6k rounds. They solved this with 2) ammo makers voluntarily downloaded 10mm. My .357 Sig loads have more energy than factory 10mm. If you handload, 10mm is a beast. However, that pistol...

Re: Colt Delta Elite 10mm

I have 3 10mm handguns. A Glock 20 (Meh), A Kimber Custom II (:mad5), and a Delta Elite very similar to that one. The newer models have the beavertail grip safety, but function quite well. Overall I love the cartridge, but you need to specifically look for full power loads or load your own. I hope K...
