Re: House Votes to Allow Better Use of Funds Raised From Ammo Purchases

United States Laws and Policies Protecting Wildlife shows that Federal Authority regarding wildlife conservation has been a long topic of dispute. Individual states have difficulty regulating migratory birds in general and birds from Canada in particular. This definitively answers your general ques...

Re: House Votes to Allow Better Use of Funds Raised From Ammo Purchases

Where in the Constitution does it give Congress the power to spend money on wildlife conservation or public shooting ranges? This is a state or local issue. Section 8 1: The Congress shall have Power... 16: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Par...

Re: House Votes to Allow Better Use of Funds Raised From Ammo Purchases

I am all for encouraging, target practice, firearms training, and safety programs, especially for the youth, but this sounds like a backhanded way to redistribute ammo buyer's taxes. JMHO Why should taxes from all shooters be used for wildlife conservation, when not all shooters hunt? Shouldn't som...

Not that I don't like wildlife restoration, management and habitation, but what does that have to do with firearms?

Re: 40mm grenade training ammo

The foam rounds are less-than-lethal crowd control rounds, though I suppose they could be used for training too, since they're cheap-ish and don't have any explosives in them. Actual 40mm training rounds are the chalk rounds which leave a cloud of chalk dust where they impact, so it's easier to see ...

If you mean the shooter played video games, so does pretty much every other 17-year-old boy.

Re: Glock Guy's and Girls what do you think?

What pin worked it's way out of the trigger, got caught on the holster, then pulled the trigger? I don't see a pin that could have done that. https://floridagunsupply.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/glock_26.jpg I think that's a garbage excuse and the officer did something stupid. Look on the other ...

Re: Magnetic Vehicle Mount

I have two other issues with something like this you might want to consider: 1. There is no protection for the trigger. How easy would it be when reaching for that gun in a hurry to accidently put your finger inside the trigger guard, pull the trigger and put a hole in your floorboard, possibly you...

Re: "My dog shot me"

If your gun has no manual safety (e.g. a Glock or something like that) then don't carry in a soft-sided holster like a bellyband or Smartcarry, where the trigger can be pulled through the holster if enough pressure is applied. Even if your gun does have a manual safety, I'd still advise against it, ...

How's this idea for improving Texas firearms laws?

I've had a Washington CPL for almost 15 years now. I'll be there this summer and will be renewing my CPL then. Non-residents have to apply and renew in person at a sheriff's office or police station. In the process of researching which courthouse would be most convenient for me to renew at, I found ...

Re: Legal age for having a handgun in your vehicle

Remember that you also need to comply with federal law too, and while federal law doesn't have a restriction on possession of non-NFA longarms by minors, 18 USC 922(x) does restrict their possession of handguns. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/922#x Woah okay so now I'm a little confused...
