Re: New shooting range Seven Points, TX

Yes, the same people who were going to open in Seven Points have changed locations to GBC, on a side road after Lowes, kind of behind Denny's. There is no building in place so they will be building a brand new facility instead of renovating/retrofitting an established facility. They hope to open aro...

Re: Is it OK to CC at a Texas State Park

Executive Directive Order #98-001 signed July 8, 1998 into Texas law allows concealed carry. Some of the parks still have old signs that either say "no discharge of firearms permitted" or no firearms permitted. You have to be sure it's a state park as others have cautioned. Thank you Spor...

Re: Moving to Fort Worth, Texas from North Carolina

Me and Mr Mtnthundr2 moved here three years ago, it seems to me that we had to be a resident of Texas for 6 months before we could apply for our CHL? Am I remembering this wrong, does this sound familiar to any other transplants? (....still searching for the answer....will get back to update once I ...

See pages 22-23 .... its not the exact TEXT you're looking for but had the wording (and is extremely interesting!).

I've also gone to the Legislature website to see if I could find it there but they only go back to 1884.

JMRA, have you found the original text of the bill? I've been scouring the pages and can't seem to find the original wording of the complete bill as it submitted, only finding a summary.

Re: Looking for a little help, on some OLD firearm law.

I found the 'House Journal' for 1871 and have searched it for that particular HB # but the search doesn't bring up anything, maybe there is some wording on that bill that a search would find? It appears to be typed and was published by J.G Tracey, State Printer in 1871. Its 468 pages, would you like...
