Re: LTC Renewal Time

Called today to see what the status was, even though I could see that on the website there is no update. The lady stated that that have 45 to 180 day to issue the renewal. I stated that to my understanding , it 45 days unless they need new information and obviously that haven't requested any new in...

Re: LTC Renewal Time

Wow, I had no idea a renewal would take so long. I am even considering getting the Arizona gun permit to have just in case they want to drag their feet to the point of my license expiring. It's unacceptable! What is making certain renewals take a long time? They should only have 45 days to approve ...

Re: LTC Renewal Time

Been having a back and forth with DPS. They stated it may take up to 180 days to receive my renewal. They have all required documents, and information but are still stating that it may take that long. If it does I will be out of compliance, and will not be able to legally carry. All my docs were re...

Re: LTC Renewal Time

Must be nice. I’m 53 days into a renewal and fingerprints and background still under review. No requests for additional documentation. So who knows? I am gonna take a guess and say that they are probably prioritizing the ones that are about to expire . I am still almost 5 months from expiration . R...

Why would I wait 60 days for a renewal? The statute only gives 45 days.

Re: 2019 New LTC Processing Timeline...

Kinda similiar as above ^ I submitted everything for an initial LTC on 2/17 along with my girlfriends application. She received her license within 3 weeks (no arrests). I had a bit more digging to do on the background check so mine is still pending. The email says they have 60 days for an initial a...

Re: Denial Question

I've been waiting on an initial licensing and it's taken very long as well (52 days). I also have been worried about a mail issue. I called the number at the bottom of the website and after about 15 minutes on hold they confirmed that nothing has been sent in the mail to just wait longer. So my sug...

Re: Denial Question

You might want clarify are you still in renewal? What did your denial letter say was the reason? Well I have not received a denial at this time. I talked to Austin last week and they said it was still being processed. I'm probably just being paranoid because of the long wait. And can think of no re...

Denial Question

There may be nobody here to answer this. But for those that have received a denial either on a new application or a renewal were you able to still login and see your status when you received your denial letter? Or did that option go away? If so was it before or after your received your letter? I’m 5...

Re: DPS website update?

I don't have any direct information, but my guess is that it is updated with a batch file sometime at or after the end of the workday. They process thousands of applications and there's no way a single person or group of people could update the website individually. Plus, that would create a securi...
