Re: Hypothetical - asked not to carry in public venue

Attorney General opinion KP-0108 seems to speak most directly to your question. https://www2.texasattorneygeneral.gov/opinions/opinions/51paxton/op/2016/kp0108.pdf An excerpt from that opinion: The plain language of subsections 30.06(e) and 30.07(e) make an exception if the property on which the lic...

Re: New to Concealed Carry, have a few questions

I think the only real way to decide how to carry and which holster to use is to just try different positions and holsters until it meets your needs. It's a compromise between concealability, accessibility, comfort, and safety. For me, I have carried a Glock 19 for years, and for the last 13 months, ...

Re: Malaysia Airlines Flight Vanishes

I would guess that most suicidal people do not care about other people, but this generally results in them not really caring about how their death affects others. They justify it to themselves by “they’re better off without me,” but they are so focused on their own pain they cannot empathize with a...

Re: If guns are a right, then they should be Federally funded.

Which is duly pointed out in the linked article. The thrust of the article is that if the Dems would choke on providing funding for the enumerated right to bear arms, how much more ludicrous is it that they want to fund a “right” found nowhere in the body nor amendments of the Constitution, but only...

I can't either, and the AG's office will not talk about a case that is pending, hasn't been decided. (I've tried). However I can offer free speculation! The case against Austin for banning carry in their City Hall has been decided at the trial court level and the City of Austin was hit wit...

And, the jury decision is in. Punitive damages of 22 Million - whoops, make that 33 million. Wow!
Punitive damages are limited by law to *only* $22M.

Compensatory damages are $11M.

$33M is the total.

And off to the appeals court they go...

Re: Oberlin College Forced To Pay Local Bakery $11 Million In Racial Hoax Defamation Case

So the college may have to shell out some money but what about the individuals? Nothing will happen to the truly guilty people I would bet. Maybe, maybe not. I'm seeing articles that say the college's insurer says the awards are not covered. If Oberlin has to pay out of pocket for the current award...

Re: TX: San Antonio man treats GSW with chocolate milk

It was a widespread belief in the past that milk could be an antidote or treatment for poisoning by coating the stomach but that has been debunked for some years now. It wouldn’t surprise me if it still hangs on as a belief, but… seems a stretch to believe it would cover this kind of lead poisoning....
